Short notes on tokenized exposure, market design and the mechanics behind ElyBounce.

001 / MARKET STRUCTURE

Two forces.
One token price.

In a conventional launch pool, a token trades against a quote asset such as a stablecoin. In the ElyBounce design, the quote asset is a leveraged token. Its value can change even when nobody trades the newly launched token.

There are therefore two distinct forces: the launch token’s price expressed in LT units, and the value of those LT units expressed in dollars. Buying pressure is one part of the story; the underlying exposure is another.

Token price in dollars = token price in LT units × LT value in dollars.

The distinction matters. A “3× long” label describes the LT’s target exposure. It does not promise that the launched token delivers three times an asset’s return.

002 / MECHANICS

The path matters.

A rebalanced leveraged token continually adjusts exposure according to its protocol’s rules. Returns compound along the path. Two markets can finish at the same price and still produce different results for a leveraged position.

For an illustrative example, an asset rises 10%, then falls approximately 9.09% to return to its starting value. A theoretical 3× long position rebalanced between those moves gains 30%, then loses roughly 27.27%. It finishes about 5.45% below its starting value, before costs.

Try the round-trip model

This simple example is not a simulation of Bounce’s actual strategy. Its purpose is to isolate compounding. Real rebalancing thresholds, funding and fees introduce further differences.

003 / EXECUTION

Liquidity is part
of the product.

A displayed valuation is not an execution guarantee. Exiting a launched token depends on its market depth. Converting an LT into another asset depends on the liquidity and redemption mechanism available on that network.

Bounce’s published integration documentation distinguishes immediate redemptions from an asynchronous flow. Immediate redemption depends on available idle reserves. A bridged token adds another layer: local trading liquidity and the bridge’s withdrawal process.

ElyBounce’s production interface must make these conditions clear at the point of a trade. An honest quote includes the route, expected output, fees and potential delays.
